Why I Do This Work

I love kids! I also love schools and know the importance of finding the right fit for each student. I am grateful that I can use my years of experience with middle and high school students and families to guide, coach, support, and reassure them during a process that can stir up questions, anxiety, and uncertainty. All students need someone outside of their family who is “on their team,” and as I get to know each student individually, I work to act as a caring advisor and sounding board. My connection with families comes in particularly handy during a time when some students are naturally becoming interested in exercising their independence.

Time and time again, I have seen students become their best selves inside and outside of the classroom when they find a great-fit school.

“First and foremost, Lisa understands kids and adolescents and cares deeply about them. She listens to them, she draws them out, and she is a fierce advocate for them. Students trust Lisa.”
